Overview

With the threat of transnational terrorism and ongoing development of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) by nations potentially hostile to the U.S., DHS has taken steps to integrate the full range of its radiological/nuclear, chemical, and biological threat detection programs. As the focal point for this effort, DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) requires consulting and program management support that can reinforce and better enable a more dynamic and operationally focused DHS strategy.

Please note: This position will be located on a client site. Finalists must be able to pass a DHS Suitability Check and obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. 

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and evaluates findings and recommends more efficient, effective and economical ways to accomplish workload and program objectives. 
  • Prepares a variety of comprehensive status reports, management summaries and briefing papers which inform leadership and outlines issues, solutions and recommendations. 
  • Performs data collection, cataloguing, and analysis. 
  • Interfaces and coordinates with other directorates as necessary. 
  • Prepares and submits requests for information to DHS Components and other federal agencies for additional information on briefing topics.  
  • Develops documentation, responses, data calls and research in support of the division needs and requirements. 
  • Assists in budget planning, budget execution, procurement support, accounting reports, analysis and future operations planning. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Program/Project Management or Operations Management. Master’s Degree may substitute for two years’ experience. Associates’ degree with 7 additional years of experience may
    substitute a Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in program/project analysis or operations management analysis.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a DHS Suitability Check and obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Candidates with an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
