With the threat of transnational terrorism and ongoing development of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) by nations potentially hostile to the U.S., DHS has taken steps to integrate the full range of its radiological/nuclear, chemical, and biological threat detection programs. As the focal point for this effort, DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) requires consulting and program management support that can reinforce and better enable a more dynamic and operationally focused DHS strategy.  The person selected for this position will be able to provide Medical Operations Program Support to the division’s programs and projects to include: planning, analysis, advisory support, technical, logistical, and budgeting support.  This is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the defense of the Nation in a new and developing office.

  • Applies operational research and planning analysis processes and technical techniques to provide the services required. 
  • Leverages subject matter expertise and organizational business processes to support the government to provide DHS components steady state and contingency plans for WMD and health related matters.


  • B.S. or B.A. degree. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of experience will be accepted for a BS.
  • Required experience: 3-10 years of experience performing planning analysis.
  • Preferred experience: 5 years of specialized experience in areas such as WMD contingency planning, WMD Operational planning, and long term strategic planning.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a DHS Suitability Check and obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Candidates with an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
