As a Junior Data Arcitect you will work with solution architects, data owners, data stewards, policy developers, process and workflow analysts, data scientists, and business analysts to assist with data governance activities, including data governance committees.

Responsibilities

The Junior Enterprise Data Architect will

  • design and implement data architecture in support of an enterprise data management program;
  • have practical experience in software development, solution architecture, infrastructure design and implementation, and/or system integration;
  • work with conceptual, logical, and physical data models and data modeling tools;
  • design and implement processes to ensure data reliability, efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement;
  • design and develop integrated views of data;
  • acquire and integrate new data with existing data sources; and
  • collaborate with infrastructure engineers, software developers, enterprise data architects, system owners, and business users to understand the end-to-end lifecycle of data

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of IT and business/industry work experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data/information architecture
  • Understanding of master data management and data quality concepts
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in information, technology, and enterprise operations, and the ability to develop solutions in these areas
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose, write and edit a variety of general business correspondence, management reports, technical presentations, and position papers
  • Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership, be articulate, and be proactive.
  • Must be able to work in a highly charged and fast-paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks based on guidance from senior leadership. Interacts with staff at all levels and across organizational teams.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance, for which you must be a US citizen.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in data analysis, data modeling, data profiling, and data management of structured and unstructured data
  • Understanding of established/emerging data management technologies, including data analysis, profiling, reporting/analytics, and data visualization
  • Secret clearance or Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is highly desirable
