Responsibilities

The successful applicant will become part of an analytical team that supports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The LMI Health team is currently seeking Health Business Analysts. These positions will focus on LMI’s work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

  • Participate and gather the Customer Requirements
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Derive design-level business and technical requirements from customer business processes and requirements
  • Document derived requirements in the customer requirements management system
  • Develop and/or use simple databases and spreadsheets; assist with data collection, data analysis, and research.
  • Perform data quality and data assurance reviews; conduct data analyses using qualitative and quantitative methods, prepare summary displays to report analysis results and findings.
  • Develop and deliver briefings and white papers as required to document and provide the results of any analysis performed.
  • Respond to internal and external substantive questions and inquiries on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Track programs throughout the lifecycle to monitor execution and end-to-end functionality within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Maintain cognizance of future programs, areas of interest and emerging requirements
  • Give clear oral and written explanations of assigned tasks, relevant issues, analytic approach, and results.

LMI Health is located at LMI Headquarters in Tysons, VA.  Occasional travel to Baltimore, MD may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, or business administration
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Prior experience providing administrative support to HHS, VA Health, or other Health related government entities
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff members, and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks according to senior staff requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to interact effectively with senior executives from Government and industry
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
