This position supports the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) with lifecycle procurement activities including but not limited to: the advanced development and fielding of military medical equipment and U.S. Army Medical Sets, Kits, and Outfits. The individual will assist government Product Managers with developing cost/price estimates, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, solicitation language, and other acquisition-related documentation required to procure Army and Defense Health Program Research and Development capabilities.

  • Support DoD Product Mangers with reviews of contractor payment and invoicing issues; develop contract modification documentation, investigate reports of contract discrepancies, and assist with contract close-out activities.
  • Tailor all acquisition requirements for each applicable program and strategy; develop documentation in accordance with the latest regulatory, statutory, and organizational policies.
  • Research, interpret, analyze, and advise the client on the rules, regulations, and procedures found in the DoDI 5000.02 and other DoD acquisition policies applicable to medical device advanced development.
  • Participate actively on multiple Integrated Product Teams, providing necessary acquisition subject matter expertise to fulfill the critical planning and execution requirements that contribute to program success.
  • Prepare, staff, and present (when necessary) recurring (i.e., daily, monthly, annual) reports and briefings in support of milestone decisions, as well as both internal and external program reviews. Update quad charts and information papers.
  • Perform integrated risk assessments and risk analyses of cost, schedule, and performance of assigned programs.
  • Assist Product Managers with communication of programmatic issues, concerns, and information.
  • Perform Project Analyst tasks supporting work within the 12 IPS Elements on a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan Team – this position is focused on generating LCSPs for dozens of medical products:

      1. Product Support Management
      2. Design Interface
      3. Sustaining Engineering
      4. Supply Support
      5. Maintenance Planning and Management
      6. Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation
      7. Technical Data
      8. Support Equipment
      9. Training and Training Support
      10. Manpower and Personnel
      11. Facilities and Infrastructure
      12. Computer Resources


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Public Trust Clearance required; DoD Secret clearance desired
  • Six (6) years of experience working in a Government program management or executive office, specifically applying DoDI 5000.02 tenets in the areas of program management (e.g., acquisition documentation development, risk management, integration with the PPBE system and JCIDS).
  • Formulating top‐level acquisition strategies and program structures that address requirements in accordance/compliance with the JCIDS and the DoDI 5000.02.
  • Formulating integrated risk assessments and performing risk analysis regarding cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Preferred: Experience with advanced development of medical devices or a working knowledge of Medical Research and Development Command.
  • Ability to obtain NACI clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to FOUO information. LMI will only consider applicants that can pass a SF-85 background investigation. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
