LMI is seeking a Sustainability, Environmental, Energy Analyst to provide broad facilities and infrastructure related environmental and sustainability analysis and support a federal client in the Washington, DC area. This position provides analytical support applying large enterprise environmental and energy data collection, system development, performance management, community outreach, reporting, and strategic planning support for leased and owned facilities. The position requires critical thinking and capable of demonstrate creative problem-solving techniques. The position is located onsite with the client in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

You will responsible for the collection, analyses, validation, and presentation of  results of environmental and energy data for the customer’s Facilities Data Call. This includes Agency programmatic data aimed at protecting the environment by reducing pollution, improving environmental performance and implementing cost-saving processes of monitoring, managing, and conserving energy and water use with the Agencies’ facilities portfolio.

 

Capability Requirements:

  • Provide expertise and guidance in management of environmental/energy compliance and policies, environmental stewardships and energy efficiencies.
    Responsible for researching and responding to environmental/energy data requests from other oversight agencies (e.g. OMB or Congress)
  • Conduct database management which includes identification of IC environmental/energy data and coordinate with the CAFM Offeror to make any necessary changes and updates to the FM database of record.
  • Prepare data call and instructions for IC environmental/energy data on how Agencies are to accomplish their annual Facilities Data Call (FDC) submissions.
    Conduct visits and phone calls in the WMA as necessary to ensure understanding of the data call instructions for environmental/energy data. Field questions and follow up to ensure a timely FDC submission.
  • Conduct data call validation which includes performing quality control review of environmental/energy data in the FDC submissions.
  • Draft an executive summary reports and white papers for environmental/energy data which may include standard operating procedures (SOPs), briefings, feasibility studies, position papers, and similar analytical products in support of the client.
  • Provide support for Environmental and Energy Working Groups to include: drafting/coordinating a complex agenda, receiving/reviewing content, identifying any deficiencies for Government review and collecting/posting presentations, and writing meeting minutes. Responsible for drafting/coordinating a complex agenda, receiving/reviewing content.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Sciences or Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or General) (A high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma and five years of work experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree requirement
  • 3 or more years of federal environmental and sustainability compliance
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems
  • Experience using at least one of the following tools: Archibus, MAXIMO, TRIRIGA, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience handling multiple, demanding, and complex tasks in a timely manner with accurate results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Desired Knowledge:

  • LEED Associate Certification (USGBC) or, OSHA Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • 1 or more years of Facilities Management experience
  • Expereince in greenhouse gas reporting, energy analysis, facilities environmental compliance and related activities.
  • Security Clearance Statement: Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants who have an active clearance. Please note that only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
