This position will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and guidance for a portfolio of radiological/nuclear response and recovery R&D projects.


  • Lead onsite client delivery of programs and project management services for DHS R&D and T&E projects
  • Assist with developing program and project management documentation, including charters, program/project plans, statements-of-work procurement requisitions, reports, policies and procedures
  • Assist with planning and executing test events at the lab and in the field in accordance with government policy and procedure
  • Utilize and maintain SharePoint to manage program/project documentation
  • Prioritize tasks, set deadlines and assign resources to each project
  • Monitor team performance to ensure that projects are implemented, supported, and closed accurately and in accordance with key milestones and established project standards
  • Monitor resource capacity based on workload and forecasted volume
  • Collaborate and communicate with business partners to verify expectations are being met
  • Develop and foster close working relationships with internal organizational and external customer counterparts
  • Coordination of project level risk, issue, action items, and decisions
  • Manage program and project files and related hard copy documents, with appropriate tagging and indexing for future reference
  • Influencer of Best Practices and Priorities
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and/or special projects as time or circumstances necessitate


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-10 years project management experience required
  • Radiation subject matter expertise
  • Adept at project and change management
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker
  • Display a capacity to learn quickly and responds well to changes and opportunities
  • A true team player who promotes cross-functional collaboration and maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance and DHS Suitability
