LMI is seeking an experienced Technology Scouting Lead who brings technical expertise in technology assessment and technology scouting to oversee a full range of technology assessment, technology scouting, and program management support services for a client in the Washington DC area.

Responsibilities

  • The contractor shall be responsible for leading all work performed within the Technology Scouting and Analysis, Market Analysis and other related Technology Scouting Tasks workstreams.
  • The Technology Scouting Senior Lead shall have experience in managing multiple concurrent research efforts to collect, analyze and present findings to inform decision making in closing homeland security related technology gaps.
  • This individual will have knowledge of research techniques, outstanding customer service skills and success in applying business process improvement methodologies to adapt to variations in customer demands.
  • Guide and manage a team of practitioners supporting a client in building a robust technology scouting and technology assessment capability
  • Responsible for the effective management of funds and personnel and is accountable for the quality and timely development and delivery of all mission-oriented reports and other contractual items
  • Serve as primary point of contact with client regarding program activities. Ensures that all required resources are available for program implementation
  • Manage program consisting of multiple projects including project identification, design, development, and delivery
  • Oversee engagements with stakeholders
  • Serve as primary interface with reachback to Subject Matter Experts
  • Identify and employ relevant technology scouting and technology assessment tools and databases
  • Help the client advance their current capabilities, improve processes, and look for new ways drive impact

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, required; Master’s Degree, preferred
  • 10 years of general experience required
  • 2-5 years of specialized technology scouting or technology assessment experience required
  • Program management certification is desired
  • Detailed knowledge and experience managing cost, schedule, performance, personnel, and risks in a project
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work products across a diverse team
  • Experience with technology scouting approaches and tools
  • Ability to constructively engage a broad set of clients to understand their requirements and mission objectives
  • Ability to translate complex technology topics and capabilities into plain language
  • Ability to view processes and activities with a strategic lens and experience with process improvement is desirable
