Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Data Architect at our client site at Scott AFB. The goal of this project will be to assist the U.S. Transportation Command and its components (Air Mobility Command (AMC) and Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC)) in its enterprise, business and solution architecture goals. Under the guidance of the assigned government lead, this role will accomplish day-to-day task management from key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Experience including but not limited to metadata management, reference and master data management, data warehousing and business intelligence management and document and content management.
  • Provide data quality problem resolution.
  • Develop data quality business rules and procedures that ensure timely and accurate transmission of data using the six characteristics of data quality (Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Uniqueness, and Validity).
  • Baseline existing data and identify business process improvements and system changes.
  • Identify, capture, and analyze/monitor data to improve data quality.
  • Develop data quality related metrics.
  • Update and maintain data web content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or Related Field, additional experience may be used in lieu. 
  • Ability to provide data quality support and identify data quality issues.
  • 3–5 years of experience.
  • Experience may substitute for educational requirement.
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to monitor, evaluate, and test data integration efforts for existing and new transportation related Automated Information Systems and to support system/data functions required for AIS prototyping initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain/update Enterprise Logical Data Models (LDMs).
  • Secret clearance preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance in a timely manner is required. 

Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. Please note that only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge/familiarity with DAMA and the Data Management Body of Knowledge.
  • Data and Cloud Environments.
  • Data quality analysis and management.
  • Data intelligence (i.e., data mining and profiling).
  • Experience in a TMS is a plus.
