Position is on the staff of a management-consulting firm located in Tysons, VA firm specializing in government operations. LMI is dedicated exclusively to advancing the management of the government. The Supply Chain Management Senior Analyst will work at the LMI Tysons, VA facility and support various government clients throughout the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management support and serve as the subject matter expert for supply chain risk management (SCRM). Work collaboratively with federal government agencies, and industry in developing overarching supply chain risk management strategies and associated policies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on current global risk landscape.
  • Analyze and assess the effects and impacts of existing and proposed legislation on government agency policies as it relates to supply chain risk management.
  • Ability to oversee the execution of SCRM projects. This may include developing SCRM plans and policies, assessing supply chain risks, or developing risk mitigations.
  • Perform data analysis, develop briefings and papers for all levels of leadership, and conduct research in support of supply chain risk management initiatives.
  • Facilitate or attend SCRM-related working group meetings (e.g., Industrial Base Assessments, CFIUS, CMMC, Trusted Systems Network, Vendor Threat Mitigation) to promote supply chain risk management programs and share relevant policy updates and supply chain risk challenges and solutions.
  • Evaluate 3rd party and supplier risks on behalf of government clients and contribute to supply chain risk assessments. This includes reviewing supply chain and risk data and ensuring clients comply with required rules and regulations, including Section 889.
  • Research, identify, analyze and recommend countermeasures and mitigations for supply chain risks that promote supply chain resilience.
  • Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Research subject matter and prepare point papers/speeches/remarks for use by senior government officials to internal and external organizations. Produce charts and other presentation materials. Prepare and finalize correspondence including letters, memoranda, briefings, speeches, presentations, meeting minutes, and reports.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain management, acquisition, or similar logistics discipline. Graduate degree desired.
  • 3+ plus years’ experience in Acquisition, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Risk Management desired.
  • Experience is preferred but not required in at least one of these areas: standing up supply chain risk management organizations, assessing part criticality, conducting threat and vulnerability analysis, integrating multiple data sources for risk analysis, conducting intelligence analysis, assessing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS), conducting obsolescence planning and management, assessing cybersecurity risks, or conducting industrial base assessments.
  • Knowledge of risk data sources desired (e.g., financial risk, cyber risk, foreign ownership, etc.).
  • Knowledge of applicable government supply chain regulations, legislations, or guides desired.
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
  • Active Secret clearance. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) desired.
