Overview

LMI is seeking to hire an Agile Release Train Engineer to support a Government Client in Virginia. Remote work is considered, within visits to Client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

  • Coach the ART in the optimization of value flows through the ART and manages the synchronization events associated with the ARTs.
  • Guides strategy and execution alignment across the spectrum of stakeholders.
  • May serve in AT role with the proper certification.
  • Assumes responsibility for building the RTE Community of Practice.
  • Supports decision making by guiding features and estimates of capabilities by Teams and Epic roll-ups.
  • Manages risks, dependencies, and Key Position List impediments.
  • Monitors and escalates impediments. Drives the culture of relentless determination. 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree and senior supply technician education (or higher) in Army logistics related disciplines

 

Required Certification: SAFe Agile Release Train Engineer certification.

 

Additional Desired Certifications: Certification as a Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC) 

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience hands-on implementing Agile methodologies and 5+ years software development and Army logistics experience with DoD SAP ERP implementation experience.
  • Strong understanding of Army logistics regulations and business processes.
  • Serve as the leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART).

  • The RTE’s major responsibilities are to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the Agile teams in delivering value.

  • RTEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.

  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs). 

  • Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.

  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets

  • Help manage risks and dependencies. 

  • Facilitate System Demos.

  • Must be self-directed and detail oriented and able to coordinate and work with a dynamic team and multiple stakeholders.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose, write and edit a variety of general business correspondence, management reports, technical presentations, training material, proposals, and position papers.
  • Must be proficient in project management and Agile task management tools, such as, but not limited to the Atlassian suite of products, Azure DevOps, Rational Team Concert, Rally, and Service Now.

 

Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret or SECRET clearance at contract award.
