Overview

This position is on the consulting staff and will be providing support to the Customers and Border Protection’s Professional Services Support within the Office of Facilities and Asset Management. This support is provided across all of the phases and attributes of the budgeting system and examining organizational process to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes and institute best practices to improve efficiency, outputs, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Power BI database management and maintenance
  • Ability to manage and timely complete internal recurring deliverables.
  • Aid with budget preparation, formulation, execution, analysis, presentation, and reporting
  • Analyzing data and identifying improvements or future implementations.
  • Provide spend plan management support to CBP using various systems of record (e.g., CONCUR, Systems Applications and Products (SAP) application, Business Warehouse (BW), TRIRIGA, etc.)
  • Utilizing SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and One Note to track and maintain financial documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor format and content to various audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to foster partnership with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and facilitation skills
  • Experience in conducting training on systems and projects.
  • Proficiencies with Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power App
  • Ability to identify potential process redundancies and inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business-related field desired
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience is desired performing the full range of activities related to operations management, analysis, and support within Federal or State agencies.
  • Experience with Power BI database management and maintenance
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active adjudicated CBP Background Investigation or inactive within the last 6 months preferred.
