Overview

LMI seeks an experienced Facilities Project Analyst to support a DHS facility portfolio management program.  Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help DHS keep our nation safe while supporting the facilitation of legitimate trade and travel. This is a hybrid role consisting of partial telework/partial onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Support program and project staff in the compilation, review and analysis of datasets to inform critical decisions and outcomes
  • Develop documentation including business cases, reports, memos, analysis of alternatives (AoAs), and briefings to explain, justify and share associated analyses and recommendations
  • Lead projects and initiatives to gather and compile various data through meetings, interviews and surveys
  • Develop business rules, processes and procedures for the client or for the team
  • Perform periodic quality control activities, such as peer review of documents
  • Provide input for internal and external briefings
  • Develop briefing products, such as PowerPoint to clearly convey complex ideas to a broad audience
  • Lead quarterly updates for project status reporting and briefings
  • Perform data entry, reviews, and quality control checks in DHS systems (e.g., TRIRIGA)
  • Facilitate meetings  and follow up on action items and deliverables
  • Support client and team meetings through agenda preparation, notetaking and task tracking
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement such as working group communication
  • Lead response to internal and external data calls
  • Conduct basic research on technical topics as assigned and prepare summary reports of briefings on findings
  • Travel to client sites as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities design, planning, engineering, operations or management
  • Experience in developing business cases, analysis of alternatives (AoAs), process flow diagrams and/or project schedules to inform specific activities, responsibilities and decision points
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Familiar with analytical software and the associated use of Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong briefing and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments, effectively solve problems and deal with shifting client objectives
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team toward supporting our client’s success
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
