Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams to develop and refine business and technical processes.
  • Collect, evaluate, and synthesize data and information from various sources to identify user needs and streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with key business leaders and customers to identify and assess key drivers for organizational performance improvement.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing disciplined, multi-tier process improvement methods.
  • Drive efforts to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase overall effectiveness, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Create comprehensive process and procedure documentation to facilitate business operations.
  • Utilize strong analytical reasoning to translate end user requirements into operational applications.
  • Assist program or project managers in establishing project priorities and ensuring contractual requirements related to process improvements are met.
  • Evaluate and monitor results, making data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Implement and refine continuous process improvement methodologies, leveraging measurement data for ongoing optimization.
  • Develop Business Process Models (BPM), including as-is and to-be models, and establish performance measures for all programs.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Risk Management (RM), Configuration Management (CM), and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Organizational Development and 10+ years of experience in process improvement roles; a Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of additional experience OR 12 years of additional experience may substitute a Master’s Degree)
  • Proven track record of driving successful process improvement initiatives in complex organizational environments.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TQM.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, bottlenecks and opportunities, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and driving consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Project management experience with a focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks and certifications in process improvement.
  • Knowledge of process automation technologies and BPM software solutions.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred.
