We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Test Script Writer to develop and manage test scripts and scenarios for our Genesys Cloud contact center solution. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with user and technical teams to identify key operational functionalities and ensure comprehensive testing. This role also involves supporting testers, coordinating defect communication and prioritization, and working with project teams to report results and defect trends.

Responsibilities

  • Test Script Development:
    • Develop detailed test scripts and scenarios for testing the Genesys Cloud contact center solution.
    • Ensure test scripts cover all functional and non-functional requirements as specified by user and technical teams.
    • Regularly update and maintain test scripts to reflect changes in requirements and system updates.
  • Requirement Analysis:
    • Collaborate with user and technical teams to understand and document key operational functionalities.
    • Translate requirements into test cases that ensure thorough testing of all features and functions.
  • Testing Support:
    • Support testers during the execution of test scripts, providing clarification and additional information as needed.
    • Assist in setting up test environments and ensuring that all necessary tools and resources are available.
  • Defect Management:
    • Coordinate with testers to log defects, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
    • Communicate defects to development teams, prioritizing issues based on severity and impact.
    • Monitor the progress of defect resolution and verify fixes.
  • Coordination and Reporting:
    • Work closely with project teams to align testing activities with project timelines and milestones.
    • Generate and present regular reports on testing progress, results, and defect trends.
    • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on testing status and any issues affecting progress.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improving the test process and implementing best practices.
    • Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to testing and the Genesys Cloud platform.

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in writing test scripts and scenarios, preferably for contact center solutions.
    • Experience with Genesys Cloud or similar contact center platforms is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
    • Proficiency in using testing tools and software, such as JIRA, Selenium, or similar.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Certifications: ISTQB Certification or similar testing certification is a plus.
