Overview

LMI seeks an experienced IoT Solutions Engineer to support a DoD client. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in planning, implementation, and testing of IOT devices. This role will require occasional travel to client and partner locations. Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy wireless data collection and communications solutions tailored to unique operational needs.
  • Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.
  • Develop and analyze communications protocol requirements given dynamic bandwidth, latency, frequency, proximity, and payload requirements.
  • Support development of new wireless communications protocols to enhance logistics processes.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components, including identifying and mitigating sources of interference and noise.
  • Use RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance.
  • Provide engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement test and qualification procedures for wireless communication and data collection systems.
  • Ability to travel between 10-25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree desired in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Understands IOT and network engineering.
  • Understands deployment considerations and facilities nuances.
  • Knowledge of Passive RFID.
  • Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).
