LMI is seeking a Project Manager to support our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) customer. The Project Manager is responsible for managing oversight of the DHS SAFETY Act application lifecycle process. The ideal candidate will have experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.  

 

Target salary range: $119,646 - 211,140. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain oversight of SAFETY Act applications throughout the entire application lifecycle to include post-award activities (contours, reporting requirements, etc).
  • Identify and present improvement recommendations on program, policy, and process matters and participates in the ongoing development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and job aids to support ongoing case management consistency and efficiency efforts.
  • Identifies, communicates and addresses complex problems and proposes solutions to application processing to reduce stakeholder complaints or issues.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control throughout the application lifecycle across all documents and final application packages.
  • Work in coordination with relevant leadership to identify and mitigate potential risks with applications.
  • Assess and understand application, technical, process, and policy information in order to work with leadership to identify program and policy gap and potential solutions.
  • Conduct regular, timely, and accurate communications regarding ongoing and future work activities.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports, responses to inquiries, development requirements and other deliverables.
  • Perform analyses of ideas, policies, and technical issues related to the SAFETY Act Program.
  • Support OSAI with case management activities by applying program management skills equivalent to DHS Program Management Level II.
  • Manage complex technical efforts that may involve multiple facets of SAFETY Act case management, including IT and software improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • Experience supervising complex programs and implementing process improvements.
  • Capable of working with multiple levels of federal clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity developing, authoring, reviewing, analyzing, implementing, and maintaining documents, plans, and other management systems or processes.
  • Team management and leadership skills to assist and utilize office support staff efficiently in accordance with identified priorities and resources.
  • Effective problem-solver.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office Suite and SharePoint, MS Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Understanding of software/application development is a plus, but not required. 
  • This position requires the ability to acquire a SECRET clearance.
