Overview

LMI is seeking a Network Engineer to be part of a team of Service Desk engineers supporting Army Contract Writing System (ACWS) and leadership within the Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) Program Management Office and DIBS portfolio. This position involves network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support across the Army Contracting Enterprise. Activities include technical assistance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with internal teams or external vendors to maintain accessibility and availability of ACWS for users on the Appian platform. This position requires an active DoD Secret clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Army Contracting Enterprise (ACE) through Army Enterprise Service Desk cases, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of issues.
  • Provide on-call resolution for mission critical issues and document solutions within the case management system.
  • Coordinate with the ACE user community, which includes onboarding new users into applications, setting up user accounts, providing instruction, troubleshooting login issues, escalating connection problems, and managing the user service desk requests.
  • Perform a variety of basic user-problem analyses for the Service Desk; assist with monitoring the application systems and ensure prompt and appropriate responses to customer requests and issues. 
  • Coordinate with the ACWS program’s internal teams, such as database administrators, DevOps leads, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with end-users and procurement system functional teams to understand ACE education requirements to support adoption of system enhancements and facilitate user training sessions.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on system functionality and best practices to end-users.
  • Understand how to navigate Appian support systems and resources.
  • Test, deploy, and maintain Appian applications. Develop and implement solutions to enhance ACE contract writing productivity, leveraging relevant tools and technologies. 
  • Manage end-user hardware and software inventory throughout its lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking, maintenance, and disposal procedures.
  • Participate in customer scrum events to provide progress status from the development team and pass on feedback/requests to the appropriate team member.
  • Develop and deliver self-service resources to identify and resolve issues independently and minimize ticket volume for the Service Desk team.
  • Manage, document, and participate in user events, including training, testing/evaluation sessions, user acceptance testing, and product review sessions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose software-related technical issues, including errors, bugs, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system functionality, performance, and integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a curriculum or major field of study that provides substantial knowledge useful in system development and is closely related to the work detailed above and/or in computer science, information systems, engineering or mathematics–intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution.
  • 5+ years of experience with contract writing system enterprise implementations.
  • Knowledge of Appian platform application development, operations, maintenance, and interfacing systems, Appian experience and/or training preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of the Army Contracting Enterprise user community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical, operational, and management audiences with broad and varied backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software-related technical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools, logs, and debugging techniques.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues, including configuration, integration, and performance problems.
  • Strong database design and development skills.
  • Experience with documentation development (SOPs, training aids, desk guides, etc.)
  • Understanding of Appian Cloud configuration and support processes.
  • Knowledge of Appian process/solution and infrastructure architecture including Appian in-memory KDB engines, sizing, scaling vertically/horizontally.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework, IT service management processes, and incident management practices.
  • Understanding of DoD 8500 series, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), JF-HQ DoDIN and USCYBERCOM orders, and DISA guides (SRGs, STIGs)
  • Security Plus and ITIL certification preferred.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance - U.S. Citizenship

 

Target salary range: $95,348 - $167,812. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
