Overview

LMI is hiring an experienced leader to expand our presence in DHS and DoJ. We are seeking an energetic self-starter who can successfully and creatively promote our offerings and solutions, lead large competitive pursuits, and position LMI for future expansion while driving delivery excellence on our current projects. This Vice President-level position is based in the Greater Washington, DC area and aligned to LMI Headquarters in Tysons, VA. This position reports to LMI’s Senior Vice President for the Homeland Security Market.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for customer relationships; contract management, including profit and loss; product delivery; and future business growth:

  • Drive growth in LMI's Homeland Security market by defining strategic objectives and executing plans to achieve revenue goals. Balance innovative growth initiatives with the effective execution of current projects.
  • Establish, nurture, and expand client relationships by deeply understanding their missions, strategies, and challenges, as well as the broader context affecting their operations. Utilize LMI’s service line capabilities to identify and support innovations that meet client needs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that align with client expectations by overseeing project execution and managing resources to optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborate with various service lines to deploy the right personnel for project success.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and teams, empowering staff members to take initiative and ownership in their roles.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development, market’s CTO, and service lines to identify new opportunities, manage external partnerships (including subcontractors), innovate service line offerings, and enhance overall client engagement. Set strategic visions for partnerships and client growth, directing business development resources accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Proven commitment to the mission and objectives of the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice.
  • Significant experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and overseeing a variety of federal contracts; P&L experience exceeding $10 million is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs within DHS and DoJ, with direct experience with key client organizations (e.g., CBP, ICE, CISA, USCIS, S&T, TSA, FEMA, FBI, DEA).
  • Track record of success in complex proposal development to support DHS/DoJ and the federal government, including significant roles in business development activities such as capture and proposal efforts.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the DHS/DoJ market(s).
  • Exceptional collaborative skills to drive results in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing and leading high-performing, agile teams to deliver on program requirements.
  • Strong alignment with LMI’s cultural values and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
