Overview

LMI seeks a Training Analyst with a strong logistics background to support a federal program management office. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. This position requires the ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.

This position is located on-site in Summit Point, WV. 

 

Some travel in support of client activities required.

Responsibilities

You will support system operator training activities for our client’s portfolio of programs, projects, demonstrations, and other efforts. In addition, you will apply your skills in training principles in support of planning, acquiring, and managing the operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. Working on site in Summit Point, WV, representative responsibilities are:

 

  • Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and operators.
  • Present training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Manage and update the training schedule for at-site and in-the-field training events.
  • Create training documentation for basic, instructor and master instructor certification.
  • Create and manage training request process from on-line training courses to week-long instructor courses.
  • Track and manage travel budget for training personnel located both at client’s site and in the field.
  • Coordinate facility space for training events and vendor visits on client’s site.
  • Provide timely reporting on current operator and instructor numbers for each system within the program.
  • Create and manage the solicitations and welcome letters for trainings at the client’s site and/or in the field.
  • Manage proper designations for all systems and maintain documentation repository.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of logistics and/or training experience and a bachelor’s degree; or 7+ years of logistics and/or training experience.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications.  Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating or instructing on Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Possess technical and business writing skills.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong time management and presentation skills.

DESIRED SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection Public Trust Clearance preferred.
  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilots License preferred.
  • Skills in in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Targeted Salary Range: $61,000-105,000
