Overview

The Corporate Indirect Rate and Compliance Lead is responsible for the development, maintenance, and compliance of the LMI indirect cost structure and is the primary liaison with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).  This position requires a proactive and collaborative work mentality with hands-on government contracting finance and accounting experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and negotiate Provisional Billing Rate and Final Indirect Rate Agreements;

  • Preparation, submittal, and audit support of the annual Indirect Incurred Cost Submission;

  • Maintain CAS Compliant Cost Structures and related CAS Disclosure Statements;

  • Provide support to DCAA Audits, DCMA inquiries, and external auditors;

  • Provide assessment and strategic direction on proposed changes to accounting practices and indirect rate structures;

  • Maintain Indirect rate structures, indirect project structures, organizational structure, Project Account Group (PAG) mapping, Pool cost set-ups, Pool base set-ups and related in Deltek Costpoint and prepare monthly indirect rate variance journal entry;

  • Maintain monthly indirect rate forecasts, indirect rate variance forecasts and annual and synch up with FP&A on monthly forecast assumptions;

  • Prepare annual indirect operating budgets in partnership with business leaders and manage monthly status reporting;

  • Develop and maintain key direct / indirect financial health metrics and provide assessments to leadership, and

  • Provide compliant charging guidance.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics;

  • Preferred: CPA or other post-graduate financial or accounting degree/certificate;

  • Required: 12+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Compliance, FP&A, Project Control, and Accounting;

  • Experience with and an advanced understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost Accounting Standards, and overhead rate structures;

  • Ability to develop solutions to problems of complexity which require an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness;

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization;

  • Strong organization skills and focus on accuracy and consistency;

  • Strong Deltek Costpoint experience, and

  • Strong MS Excel skills required
