Responsibilities

Position Expectations:

Duties:

Leadership

  • Be an outspoken leader on the team, helping the client and Project Manager identify and prioritize issues, projects, and next steps. Also responsible for delegating other members of the technical team to execute technical projects and solutions.
  • Serve as the backup to the Project Manager as needed to plan for and run Scrum meetings such as Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and the Bi-Weekly Client/Team Check-in.
  • Help champion documentation of the team’s internal processes and data discoveries.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to complete monthly deliverables to include Validation Tracking, Release Notes, Architecture Documentation and End User Guides with FAQs, OMH Library Architecture Content Updates, Sprint Retrospective Report, and other ad-hoc requests by the client for reporting.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and execute a curriculum for the development of new and existing team members.
  • Provide a bridge for communication, strategy, and leadership between the functional and technical sides of the team – to include developing content for leadership communications about technical solutions, providing a bridge from the technical team to the functional leadership, and being the thought leaders amongst the technical team for big picture solutions.
  • Lead client meetings to gather/understand technical requirements, define a technical approach, and delegate tasking of team members.

  

Data Analysis:

  • Collect, organize, model, and analyze healthcare related data using analytical and/or statistical tools.
  • Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Provide correct and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Develop useful methodologies for analyzing and presenting data analysis products using statistics, graphs, images and lists that communicate results to leadership.
  • Responsible to take identified, adjudicated data elements through the process of research, analysis, documentation and creation of various cleansing/conditioning techniques to deliver user/system ready data.
  • Perform data quality assessments, identifies and prioritizes improvements.
  • Assist other functional area analysts as needed with data analysis and generation of SQL to be used in that analysis.
  • Identify and solves issues concerning data management to improve data quality.
  • Improve data foundational procedures, guidelines and standards.
  • Assist with conversion coding in ETL tool and support conversion design as required.
  • Assist with executing data conversions for multiple functional areas within multiple IT environments.
  • Work with management and/or client to develop and understand work product specifications.

 

General:

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and written, to varied levels of the organization to include technical personnel, business managers, and leadership.
  • Be proactive about his/her own professional development and in-the-loop about internal LMI data training opportunities to share with the team.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • Microsoft SQL training and relevant certification(s).
  • Experienced in Microsoft Power BI and/or SSRS reporting tools.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the following:
  • SQL, T-SQL, and Visual Studio skills to collect, organize, model, and analyze data.
  • Skills using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SharePoint, PowerShell scripts, and Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate) for automation, documentation, and reporting.

Travel: 0-10%

Security Requirement: Must provide favorable background check and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)

Location: Remote (prefer someone physically located in Dayton, OH or NCR) 

 

Preferred:

  • Medical/Clinician domain background.
  • Experience in healthcare data analytics utilizing back-end system data.
  • Experience working for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, or other similar government agencies.
  • Experience leading a team of other technical resources such as Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and/or Data Engineers.
  • Experience managing the technical delivery of a contract and providing back-up support to a Program/Project Manager to ensure continuity when needed.
  • Certified ScrumMaster.

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances. 

 

The maximum salary range for this role is -$90,000.
