LMI seeks mid to senior-level highly skilled cost estimator to support NASA in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cost estimation and modeling, financial analysis, and project budgeting for government programs. Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze cost estimates for federal projects, contracts, and programs.
  • Utilize industry-standard cost estimating methodologies, tools, and software.
  • Conduct risk assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and financial forecasting.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to ensure cost accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepare and present cost analysis reports, justifications, and budget recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, policies, and acquisition guidelines

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years plus of experience in relevant estimating role.
  • Must possess a recognized cost estimating certification from ICEAA, AACE, or ASPE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with DoD, GSA, or other federal agency cost estimation processes.
  • Familiarity with OMB Circular A-94, FAR, DFARS, and government cost principles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous work with CBP or DHS 
  • Experience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
