LMI seeks a Security Administrative Specialist to support our federal customer in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage email boxes for workflow purposes. Create, edit, and maintain spreadsheets for monthly purposes.
  • Review submitted Visitor Authorization Requests (VAR) in accordance with the NISPOM on contracted personnel supporting the DoD.
  • Conduct clearance verifications via phone, fax and email.
  • Certify personnel security clearances received from contracting firms in DISS.
  • Review contract security requirements for DoD contractor personnel as part of the VAR approval process.
  • Verify clearance level, investigation dates and status of contracts on VARs.
  • Communicate directly with FSOs and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs).
  • Input clearance information into DoD Visitor Security Clearance Tracking System.
  • Utilize IND Contract Security Specification (DD Form 254) database to verify contract security requirements.
  • Certify and provide certification of contractor clearances to COR while maintaining Industrial Security filing system for VARs.
  • Work with DoD badging office, providing necessary clearance information on contractor personnel, thus assisting in issuance of ID badge to contractors requiring entry to DoD facilities for performance of duties.
  • Provide regular status reports to team lead and Division Chief.
  • Manage, route, and store documents in accordance with OSD records management regulations and procedures.
  • Manage onboarding of new employees to include military, civilian, and contractors
  • Gather forms, assist with training, provide information pertaining to creation requests for network access accounts, ensure equipment is issued, and assist with workspace and laptop set-up.
  • Manage multiple assignments from multiple people in busy work environment.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance is required
  • 2+ years of experience supporting senior DoD leadership
  • Experience in federal government security office, performing security related functions
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Prior experience providing administrative support to senior DoD leadership
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff members, and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks according to senior staff requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to interact effectively with senior executives from Government and industry as well as Pentagon staff members.
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
