LMI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a federal Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for identifying, acquiring, and fielding emerging technologies to enhance U.S. border security operations. This role is ideal for engineers who bring a strong foundation in electrical design, systems integration, and applied problem-solving—and who are excited to contribute to the evaluation, deployment, and transition of innovative technologies in real-world mission environments. This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation (BI) is required; active CBP BI preferred.
As part of an interdisciplinary technical team, the Electrical Engineer will apply expertise across a wide range of power and electrical systems used to support advanced capabilities such as surveillance platforms, remote sensing, autonomous systems, mobile operations, and field-based communications. The role blends hands-on engineering with field validation, supporting the integration of next-generation technologies into operational use at the tactical edge.
Location & Travel: This is a full-time position based in Washington, D.C., with up to 50% domestic travel.

Target salary range: $108,324 - $186,052
