Overview

LMI is seeking a Logistics Strategy and Integration Consultant. This position is in direct support of the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics (Contingency Support). Work location is on-site at the Mark Center, Alexandria, VA. This position cannot be supported remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with annual DoD Operational Contract Support (OCS) Action Plan development, incorporating logistics and supply chain integration requirements, DoD-wide staffing, and publication in support of OCS capability development and sustainment of logistics operations.
  • Compile, analyze, and formulate input for semi-annual OCS Action Plan presentations and reports, with a focus on logistics support planning, supply chain resilience metrics, and performance outcomes.
  • Formulate recommendations to improve development and implementation of the DoD OCS Action Plan across DoD stakeholders and the broader OCS logistics and supply chain management community of interest.
  • Develop OCS Action Plan performance monitoring standards, metrics, and reports in support of the OCS Functional Capabilities Integration Board (FCIB) and associated logistics and supply chain capability requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, summaries, presentations, and other products pertaining to the OCS Action Plan in support of various logistics governance bodies, working groups, and joint supply chain forums.
  • Conduct annual OCS logistics capability gap analysis and supply chain risk assessments in coordination with the Government Lead; prepare associated reporting and staffing documents on outcomes as defined.
  • Review DoD strategic guidance documents for logistics and OCS equities; formulate recommendations to ensure OCS initiatives align with DoD priorities, strategic guidance documents, supply chain policy, and logistics doctrine.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years DoD experience (OSD, service, combatant command or Defense Agency) preferred
  • BA degree required in supply chain management, logistics or other related discipline
  • High functioning written and oral skills
  • Experience with DoD formal staffing process and documents
  • Knowledge of Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) - not expert level
  • DoD Strategic Guidance Documents: Ability to analyze and assess
  • Program management, strategic planning, performance metrics development
  • Adaptive team player with ability to collaborate across broad-diverse customer base
  • Secret clearance required

Targeted Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000
