Overview

LMI is seeking a Policy & Compliance Analyst to support the development and execution of a compliance program at a national agency. The Policy & Compliance Analyst will be part of a team responsible for driving the modernization of compliance operations through innovative and sustainable solutions. They will support multiple phases of the project, ensuring policies, controls, monitoring activities, issue management, and investigations align to best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead policy and SOP inventory, coordination, drafting, and governance to ensure clear, current, and role-based guidance aligned to legal and ethical standards.
  • Analyze existing compliance policies and related materials, including evaluations for regulatory/legal requirements, union contracting requirements, legal agreements, and/or commercial best-practices.
  • Serve as primary delegate to conduct research, writing, editing, and consulting activities to shape content.
  • Execute hands-on risk/control testing, continuous monitoring, Key Risk Indicator (KRI) production, and audit/evidence support
  • Conduct comprehensive policy mapping and identify policy-to-practice gaps
  • Refine procedures and workflows
  • Implement and manage version control standards to track document changes
  • Ensure all policies comply with current federal regulations and ethical standards
  • Facilitate policy workgroups and gather feedback from field operations, legal representatives, and labor relations representatives
  • Partner with field coaches during pilot and rollout to validate adoption and effectiveness of enhanced policies and related materials
  • Support risk management by performing control testing and monitoring, maintaining risk-to-control traceability, and contributing to reporting and dashboards.
  • Assist with audit activities including remediation support and corrective action plans (CAPs)
  • Support pilot data collection, after-action reviews, and rollout readiness/adoption checks; escalate issues.
  • Contribute to the development of key deliverables, including reports and strategic roadmaps

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline
  • 4+ years policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
  • 3+ years regulatory compliance, audit, or QA experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance (includes fingerprinting, background check, and drug screening).
  • Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks and audit methodologies
  • Strong technical writing and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and iterate products with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work with a team of professionals in a remote environment on expedited timelines.
  • Ability to be comfortable working in ambiguous situations and with unclear direction.

Desired Skills

  • 5+ years policy experience in analysis, drafting, writing, and/or consulting
  • Knowledge of federal law enforcement regulations or regulatory agencies
  • Juris Doctorate (JD), Master’s in Public Policy (MPP), or Master’s Public Administration (MPA)
  • Agile, Scrum, and/or Lean Six Sigma training

Target Salary Range - $61,732-$105,328
