Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Technical Analyst to support our client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for a project that is consolidating many interrelated retail technologies into one large ecosystem, playing a key role in all aspects of the lifecycle from planning and development through final deployment and long-term sustainment. The primary objective for this role is to support the Retail Technology Modernization Program for a parcel logistics business, focusing on PMO governance, journey mapping, retail technology stack development, pilot deployment planning, and operational optimization. This detail-oriented, hardworking individual must be capable of managing competing tasks and interacting with a variety of stakeholders across geographically diverse project teams.

Responsibilities

This Technical Analyst role is focused on project management, critical thinking and problem-solving, relationship management, technical analysis and assessment, and process improvement. Responsibilities and skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze complicated and/or sensitive information to address complex retail technology investment decisions
  • Collect and comprehend large sets of qualitative and quantitative data, translating into meaningful technical hardware requirements
  • Develop technical documentation and presentations for diverse audiences including SOPs, requirements, technical specifications, workflows, and training materials
  • Support SAFe governance processes
  • Work with geographically diverse project teams on technology-focused projects
  • Create tutorials and easy-to-understand documentation for both business and technical stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategies and technology deployment plans; develop project deliverables and respond to client requests
  • Support research projects, capability development efforts, and innovation efforts
  • Apply critical and analytical thinking skills to translate complex information into impactful work products
  • Support Technology Partner Integration Framework development and pilot site selection
  • Contribute to service desk optimization and testing environment assessments

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (management, Sciences, or Humanities), preferably STEM
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience technical analysis and documentation experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to build polished client deliverables
  • Advanced technical writing and presentation skills for diverse audiences
  • Understanding of Agile/SAFe project management methodologies
  • Ability to work with multiple ambiguous projects and navigate complex organizations
  • Ability to pass government background investigation; U.S. citizens only

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, IT, or computer science
  • Functional experience in customer facing retail operations
  • Knowledge of retail technology systems (POS, self-service kiosks, smart lockers, etc.)
  • Experience with USPS operations and postal retail environments
  • DevSecOps practices and testing optimization experience
  • Technology Partner Integration frameworks and API management experience
  • Amazon Web Services experience
  • USPS Public Trust Holder
