Overview

LMI is seeking a Senior Security Specialist who will provide security administrative expertise for our government customer in specialties such as Physical, Information, Industrial, Personnel, and Operational Security. The position will be located at the Pentagon. This position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Classification Management (CNSI) Programs, advising on matters related to sharing, marking, safeguarding, storage, dissemination, declass or decontrol, records management, and destruction, as well as reporting requirements.
  • Assist with and participate in working groups, meetings, newsletters, training, and conferences as requested to include establishing & coordinating them.
  • Assist with development, ensures implementation of, monitors, and evaluates organizational compliance with broad overall policies and procedures pertaining to CUI for A&S components.
  • Serve as a technical authority for A&S while working with DoD CIO/DISA/JSP to ensure compliance with established marking policies and procedures for incorporation of CUI into both NIPR & SIPR networks and Microsoft products.
  • Provide support in implementing compliance policies and guidelines, monitoring and evaluation of incident management, self-inspection activities, program assessment, and violation of procedures.
  • Develop guides and processes to support the following:
    • A&S CUI and CNSI programmatic review (marking/processing/storing process) – 2024 Annual Report to I&S
    • Process for Onboarding and offboarding employees
    • Foreign Travel Program (process for all foreign travel [official/personal] and training requirements)
    • AT/FP
    • Security Class Guide (SCG)
    • ISOPREP
    • Foreign Clearance Guide
    • State Department Requirements
  • Assess potential to automate workflows, where possible, especially security related data and information for tracking and reporting needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college/university.
  • The following experience is desirable:
    • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of specialized experience in DOD policy, product support, and logistics.
  • Executive level support experience, experience within DoD and other federal agencies is preferable.
  • Experience in leading and providing technical guidance and direction involving multiple projects of high complexity.
  • Must have experience in managing customer expectations and working directly with customers.
  • Must have outstanding customer service abilities to initiative, judgement, creativity, flexibility, and confidence.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

Targeted Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000
