Overview

LMI is seeking experienced Project Managers for a parcel logistics business to support critical enterprise initiatives within the Chief Information Office (CIO) organization. These positions will work directly with Human Resources and Finance & Payment technology services leadership on individual project status for transformative initiatives including payroll Modernization, HR Technology Services projects, and cross-functional enterprise improvements. The successful candidates will serve as key contributors to major system implementations and business process enhancements that impact the entire organization.

 

These roles will be aligned with specific VP areas (HR, Labor Relations, Technology Applications, and Finance & Planning) and will require strong project management expertise to oversee and collaborate with various business departments. The Senior Project Managers will report to the Executive Manager while maintaining direct working relationships with application users and stakeholders to ensure their needs are addressed positively.

Responsibilities

These Senior Project Manager roles focus on individual project management, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and delivery execution. Responsibilities and skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage assigned complex projects within specific VP organizational areas (HR, Labor Relations, Technology Applications, Finance & Planning), ensuring that goals, requirements, and outcomes are defined and that the appropriate resources are allocated.
  • Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation for assigned initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to develop tasks, timelines, resources, and critical paths.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to prevent delays or deviations from project plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Communicate project status, deliverables, and updates to stakeholders on regular basis.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and make decisions.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, design, and project artifacts.
  • Support test management activities including Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT), End-to-End Testing, and Performance Testing.
  • Facilitate Change Control Board processes and manage change requests.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to executive stakeholders.
  • Manage integration points for payroll modernization and/or HR system modifications including inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Track configuration completion, schedule dependencies, and integration testing between systems.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and problem areas and provide recommended solutions.
  • Prepare briefing charts, schedule meetings, keep records and record minutes, prepare after-action reports in support of technical reviews.
  • Regularly brief leadership on program status and milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management with focus on technology implementations or HR.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with large-scale system integration projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing project plans, monitoring progress, and managing resources efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry-standard project management tools.
  • Experience applying industry best practices for project and risk management, such as PMP and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to balance competing priorities and exhibit flexibility based on changing client needs.
  • Capability of delivering oral updates to executive stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation skills for managing stakeholder sessions and working meetings.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking processes.
  • Knowledge of integration management and testing methodologies.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a “client first” attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to successful outcomes.
  • High level of business acumen, ability to develop and implement strategy.
  • Eligible for government background investigation; U.S. citizens only.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Project Management or related field.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with HR and/or payroll system implementations.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and integrations.
  • Experience with SaaS software implementations and cloud migrations.
  • Familiarity with government or federal agency project environments.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data migration and legacy system modernization.

Target salary range: $110,000 - $170,000
