Overview

LMI is seeking an Environmental Compliance Assessor to support a federal client in the Washington, DC area. A successful Environmental Compliance Assessor will conduct a variety of assessments, lead data entry and management efforts, and develop technical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental compliance assessments (ECAs), spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and drinking water assessments (DWAs). 
  • Review and update existing plans and assessments to ensure accuracy. 
  • Prepare technical reports supporting a variety of real property health assessments. 
  • Integrate and coordinate projects and data entry across field personnl. 
  • Provide official project status reports and trip reports. 
  • Develop and deliver environmental training to project staff and facility operators. 
  • Coordinate with facility personnel to proactively incorporate updates into environmental compliance documentation. 
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, and data analysis to inform required updates. 
  • Prepare and distribute project communicaiton with clients, management, integrated project teams, and other stakeholders. 
  • Review and incorporate policy and guidance changes on an ongoing basis. 
  • Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into systems of record.

Qualifications

  • BS in environmental science, biology, environmental engineering, or related discipline. 
  • 3+ years in environmental assessment roles. 
  • Well-versed in federal environmental policy, directives, and executive orders. 
  • Ability to distill and apply complex and conflicting guidance into environmental programs. 
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations to program and senior client leadership. 
  • Familiarity in CAA, CWA, RCRA, SDWA, ECAs, SPCCs, DWAs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in both a team environment and independent setting. 
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.

 

Target salary range: $81,000 - $139,000
