Overview

LMI is actively seeking a mission-driven Technical Program Manager to lead software development efforts supporting the Intelligence Community. This role requires strong technical acumen, hands-on project management experience, and experience working with defense or intelligence community stakeholders.  
 
You will lead cross-functional teams developing software tools that support the tasking, collection, processing, and analysis of various data streams. You’ll coordinate closely with government stakeholders, software developers, and data scientists to align technical execution with mission needs. This position is based on customer site in Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Lead agile software development projects and technical intelligence missions. 
  • Coordinate software development projects with LMI’s Chief Product Officer and Horizontal Platform Leaders. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical and non-technical government customers and internal development and analytical team. 
  • Translate mission needs and analytic workflows into actionable technical requirements, product roadmaps, and sprint priorities. 
  • Manage project plans, schedules, risks, and deliverables across multiple workstreams. 
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. 
  • Ensure compliance with architecture, cybersecurity, and configuration management policies. 
  • As appropriate, oversee integration with existing enterprise tools and data processing pipelines. 
  • Provide regular updates to government sponsors and internal leadership on status, risks, and outcomes. 
  • Support technical documentation, version control, and sustainment planning. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related technical field 
  • 7+ years of experience managing software development or systems engineering projects. 
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community missions. 
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and modern software engineering practices. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging with technical and mission stakeholders. 
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph within past 5 years.

 

Preferred  

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field. 
  • Experience working in SCI/SAP environments, with Special Access Program eligibility. 
  • Familiarity with Joint operational planning, requirements development, or mission integration activities. 
  • Understanding of commercial and IC partnerships supporting space-based sensing missions. 
  • Certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or Certified Scrum Master. 
  • Exposure to AI/ML integration, modeling and simulation, or sensor data analytics. 

 

Target salary range: $150,000 - $200,000
