Overview

LMI is seeking a Financial Anlayst to support our DoD customer in the advanced development and fielding of military medical equipment, as well as participating in programs which oversee lifecycle maintenance and implementation. This position supports the Fort Detrick, MD location (Contractor office within 10 miles of Fort Detrick).

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial reporting to facilitate executive-level decision making for the Deputy for Acquisition and Project Managers
  • Provide analysis and data to ensure that program budgets align with strategic and programmatic goals.
  • Develop, review, and implement project-level spend plans, and conduct recurring reviews of program resource utilization
  • Prepare periodic reports on the allocation, status, tracking, commitment, obligation, and expenditure of funds.
  • Prepare and process funding documents, identify program funding variances, recommend appropriate reprogramming actions or corrective actions.
  • Track and create all procurement requests utilizing program specific platform and DHA's LogiCole.
  • Support all financial activity: Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution (PPAE), POM, FYDP, year of execution planning
  • Facilitate the movement of funds to ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements
  • Cross-functional collaboration to promote organizational and project success
  • Initiate Purchase Requisitions (PR), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR) and generate reports to track obligations and disbursements rates using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)
  • Prepare briefings and compile financial data to formulate budgets; provide recommendations for effective and timely use of funding
  • Adapt to new technologies and possess expertise with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project
  • Conduct IPT meetings biweekly with Modality Managers to discuss requirements and status.

  • Request status updates from contracting activity for all actions that have passed the procurement action lead time (PALT) and provides update to PMO stakeholders.

  • Draft RFOs for DLA assigned acquisitions and lead source selection decision meetings.

  • Respond to short suspense taskers and demanding situations with clarity, focus and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Must have GFEBS experience with ability to use the GFEBS financial system
  • Bachelor’s Degree desired
  • Public Trust Clearable
  • 10 or more total years of general experience
  • 7 Years of experience with financial reporting
  • Development of financial spreadsheets and documentation
