Overview

LMI seeks a Human Performance Specialist to join the integrated technical and human performance team supporting the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training’s (CIMT) Holistic Health & Fitness Management System (H2FMS). H2FMS is a secure environment in Army GovCloud that integrates the vendor-developed H2F data capture application and provides analytics, dashboards, and decision-support tools to Army leaders and H2F practitioners.

 

As part of the H2FMS team, the Human Performance Specialist will ensure that data, dashboards, workflows, and features accurately reflect operational needs across all five H2F domains: Physical, Nutritional, Mental, Sleep, and Spiritual.

 

This role partners closely with the Tactical Sports Scientist, Data Engineers, Cloud/DevSecOps staff, Human Performance SMEs, UI/UX designers, and the Technical PM to translate practitioner needs into analytic requirements and system features.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze integrated Soldier and unit readiness data across all H2F domains.
  • Provide insights that reflect multidomain relationships (e.g., sleep + load + injury risk).
  • Ensure analytic outputs and dashboards reflect FM 7-22 doctrine and H2F governance.
  • Work with the H2FMS technical team to ensure that incoming data from the vendor app supports practitioner workflows.
  • Review and validate completeness and usability of data flowing into H2FMS.
  • Help define domain-specific metadata, tags, and contextual indicators required for analysis in Army GovCloud.
  • Translate practitioner needs into analytic requirements, user stories, and metric definitions.
  • Work with Tactical Sports Scientists to ensure holistic interpretation and usability of analytic models.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure pipelines support holistic readiness analytics.
  • Participate in UCD workshops and prototype reviews.
  • Provide domain-informed feedback to UI/UX designers to ensure the H2FMS interface aligns with real practitioner workflows.
  • Help design dashboards, visualizations, and readiness displays that meet field requirements.
  • Ensure all H2FMS outputs align with FM 7-22, ACFT, Army H2F standards, and emerging CIMT policy.
  • Participate in backlog refinement and sprint reviews as part of the Agile H2FMS team.
  • Communicate holistic readiness insights to CIMT leaders and system developers.
  • Prepare briefings and reports on multidomain findings from integrated H2F data.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in human performance, Exercise Science, Psychology, Nutrition, Public Health, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting human performance, health, resilience, or soldier readiness programs.
  • Understanding of FM 7-22 and Army H2F domains.
  • Experience interpreting readiness and wellness data across multiple domains.
  • Ability to collaborate with scientific, technical, and practitioner teams.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Location: Remote
  • Travel required 1-2 times per quarter for up to a week at a time and periodic travel to Army units and/or the CIMT HQ at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Desired

  • Advanced or terminal degree in performance, wellness, or behavioral sciences.
  • Experience with tactical or military human performance programs.
  • Familiarity with dashboard tools, readiness metrics, or data systems.
  • Relevant credentials (CSCS, TSAC-F, RD, PT, BH certifications, etc.).

Target salary range: $90,324 - $150,052
