Overview

LMI is seeking a Logistics Planner with expert experience in support agreements management to provide support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Installation, Logistics, and Product Support Directorate, Space Systems Command (SSC/S4L), located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.

 

The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive support for the full lifecycle of DoD support agreements from initial drafting and stakeholder coordination through compliance monitoring, risk assessment, and resolution of discrepancies. Candidates will work closely with program managers, contracting officials, financial managers, legal advisors, and partner organizations across the USSF enterprise. Candidates must be well-versed in and demonstrate experience implementing DoDI 4000.19, AFI 25-201, and AFMAN 25-201 across each of these lifecycle phases. This is an onsite position at Cape Canaveral, Florida or Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, however remote or hybrid work may be considered for well-qualified candidates. Travel may be required at client discretion. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Draft, review, validate, and coordinate support agreements and contracts with stakeholders across DoD components, partner agencies, and commercial entities in accordance with DoDI 4000.19
  • Monitor contractual and agreement obligations to ensure timely renewals, amendments, and closeouts in compliance with applicable Federal regulations and DoD policy
  • Track compliance metrics, generate status reports, and maintain auditable documentation for all active and archived agreements
  • Conduct risk assessments on agreement performance, identifying gaps or vulnerabilities and recommending corrective actions to leadership
  • Facilitate regular communication with all parties involved to resolve discrepancies, address non-compliance, and ensure smooth execution of agreement terms
  • Coordinate with legal, contracting, finance, and program management personnel to ensure alignment with strategic goals and funding requirements
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and program reviews related to agreement management
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, templates, and training materials supporting support agreement processes
  • Prepare senior-level briefings, decision papers, reports, and other written products in support of policy development and planning activities

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Business Administration, or other relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in U.S. Air Force or DoD logistics planning and/or support agreement management
  • In-depth knowledge of DoDI 4000.19, AFI 25-201, and AFMAN 25-201 across each of the support agreement lifecycle phases
  • Proven experience drafting, coordinating, and managing DoD, Service and/or base-level support agreements
  • Proficiency with Air Force Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and standard DoD document management platforms
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Active Secret security clearance U.S. citizenship required

DESIRED SKILLS

  • AFSC 2G (Logistics Plans) qualification; 7-level (craftsman) or higher strongly preferred
  • Defense Acquisition University Certifications
  • Intra-governmental, Interagency, or Host-Nation
