Overview

LMI is seeking a supply chain and logistics focused subject matter expert to support a Department of the Air Force Center-level office in Dayton, OH. This position is a full time position focused on modernizing wholesale supply chain systems and providing data analysis from supply chain systems. The role can be fully remote, although local hires to the Dayton, OH area should expect a hybrid or on client site in-office arrangement.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

         Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.

        Prepares recurring and special reports. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.

          Participate in the development and coordination of assessment criteria, indicators, and procedures for measuring D035 system performance, and sustainment effectiveness on a continuing basis, and for major decision points.

          Experience in performing administrative support functions, maintaining cooperative working relationships, and utilizing analytical methods within automated supply systems to resolve complex supply problems.

          Interact with internal and external officials and/or customers diplomatically, convincingly, professionally, and promote effective working relationships.

          Track action items, discrepancy reports and change requests.

          Develop proposed change requests for D035, prepare documentation, establish testing scenarios, and conduct tests. 

          Effectively provide briefings and keep program participants informed on program plans and status.

          Ensuring outcomes of special projects results in positive impact(s) on the organization and/or improves quality.

          Prepare reports on time, ensuring they are of high quality to an audience of Air Force senior leaders, including recommendations, meaningful program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis.

          May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends.

         Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station via commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

Qualifications

Required: 

•         Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

•       Knowledge of supply inventory and accountability procedures and regulations.

•         Knowledge of D035 and Warehouse Management system processes. 

•         Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions.

•         Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.

•         Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.

•         Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.

•         Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.

•         Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.

•        Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and a strong attention to detail

•        Superior communication skills, both oral and written

•       This position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level. You must be a US citizen.

 

Desired: 

•         Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

•       10 years experience of supply inventory and accountability procedures and regulations in Defense

•         Experience with DLA

 

Target salary range: $95,000 - $135,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
