Overview

LMI is seeking a Full Stack Development Intern to support continued build out of the SupplierDB for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The intern will: assist with research and development on LLM-powered inference; help build and optimize search and scraping pipelines; learn about deployment to Kubernetes environments; and generally be part of a development team building agentic workflows that collate, curate, and surface data from internet-backed sources.

Responsibilities

Success in this role comes from strong communication skills, organization, adaptability, and an interest in full stack development.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Independent coding reviews.
  • Feature build-outs in concert with other teammates.
  • Building out unit- and integration-tests.
  • Conducting research on scraping efficacy at scale.
  • Conducting research on text-to-prediction inferences.
  • Attending team meetings and coordinating development efforts with teammates.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, machine learning, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Current enrollment in a degree seeking program required 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments

Desired Skills & Background

  • Interest in manufacturing and supply chains.
  • Background in developing LLM-powered workflows.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
