LMI seeks an experienced Protocol Specialist to support our federal customer in Arlington, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistical support for in-person and virtual meetings for the International Armaments Cooperation directorate, up to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.
    • Create tent cards and seating charts following current Department of Defense Order of Precedence regulations;
    • Serve as liaison between Action Officers and Pentagon-based catering offices by requesting catering or arranging for sit-down hosted meals;
    • Responsible for room set-up and break-down, including tent cards, table or full-size flags, lapel pins for principals, gifts, and catering;
    • Assist with escorting of foreign delegations as needed.
  • Serve as the Foreign Visit Request POC for Acquisition and Sustainment, directly coordinating with DIA to ensure seamless meeting access for foreign guests.
  • Serve as IAC Parking Representative, processing parking requests for foreign delegations and IAC employees.
  • Serve as secondary IAC Records Management Liaison in coordination with primary civilian Liaison.
  • Process all gifts presented to IAC leadership following current WHS and DODI guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Action Officers on ORF packages, ensuring all packages are complete and meet DBO/WHS guidelines.  Coordinate with internal CATMS POC, Correspondence team, and DBO and WHS POCs to ensure timely processing of requests and address any issues.  Process payments to vendors after conclusion of event.
  • Assist with on-boarding of new IAC contractor employees.
  • Provide annual brown bag training for ORF and event support.

Qualifications

  • Secret clearance is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting DoD or other Federal agencies.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense protocol guidelines.
  • Knowledge of international customs, courtesies, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of ORF guidelines, request process, and vendor payments.
  • Knowledge of Records Management and ability to obtain certification as a Records Management Liaison.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, including ability to communicate when protocol guidelines must be observed.
  • Ability to work with representatives across various agencies.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • Prior experience providing administrative support to senior DoD leadership is desired.

Targeted Salary Range: $100,000-$107,000
