The DASW MR CATMS Action Officer will provide consulting, management and analytical support specifically related to logistics, maintenance policy, and acquisition. The work will be performed at a Department of Defense (DoD) client site in the Pentagon (Arlington, VA).

Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and format correspondence, reports, executive packages (e.g., congressional letters, decision memoranda, policies, directives), and ensure compliance with DoW standards and guidelines.
  • Manage task tracker database, monitor task assignments, route and track task packages in the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS), and prepare documents for signature or routing.
  • Coordinate with subordinate offices to review and manage CATMS packages, facilitate weekly calls to address updates or issues, and manage correspondence including RFIs, RFAs, and congressional inquiries.
  • Manage responses for FOIA, DoDIG, GAO, and other government information requests.
  • Provide administrative support to DASW(MR), including calendar oversight, in-processing/out-processing requirements, file management compliance, roster updates, and address list revisions.
  • Assist with forms, training, network access accounts, equipment issuance, workspace and laptop setup, and scheduling new employee meet-and-greets with leadership.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, take notes, record taskers/actions, and provide staff updates when required.
  • Brief senior government officials on the status of organizational CATMS packages.
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments from different sources in a busy work environment.
  • Develop strategic communications, congressional reporting, cross-departmental working groups, and sustainment guidance documentation.
  • Review, analyze, and offer expert insights on congressional bills, statutes, and legislation impacting sustainment operations, prepare responses, Statements of Administration Positions (SAPs), and support congressional engagements.
  • Provide technical and functional content development and logistical coordination for the annual DoD Maintenance Symposium and Awards Banquet.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college/university.
  • Five (5) years of program/project management experience desired.
  • The following experience is desirable:
    • Executive level support experience, experience within Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies.
    • Program management experience demonstrating the ability to collaborate and deliver contractual services in a high op-tempo environment, coordinating between multi-disciplined functions of internal and external organizations.
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written (required).
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry as well as Pentagon staff members.
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI is required.

Target salary range: $95,000 - $130,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
