Overview

LMI is seeking an Application Support Analyst to support a Department of War mission partner on a data and applications sustainment effort. This role serves as first-line support for a mission application and its underlying data, handling user support and service requests, performing routine data loads, and carrying out basic database and application management and troubleshooting. The analyst keeps the application running reliably for its user community and escalates complex issues to engineering and platform teams. This is an on-site position requiring daily on-site presence in the San Diego, CA area.

 

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first-line support for the supported mission application and related systems, assisting users across the supported community.
  • Receive, document, prioritize, troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve incidents and service requests using the approved ticketing system.
  • Perform routine data loads into application databases, validating source files and confirming successful processing.
  • Perform basic database and application management tasks, including monitoring, routine maintenance, and configuration under established procedures.
  • Troubleshoot application, data, and user-access issues, and escalate complex or systemic issues to engineering and platform teams.
  • Support user account provisioning, permissions, and access requests in accordance with established policy.
  • Maintain support documentation, including standard operating procedures, knowledge-base articles, troubleshooting guides, and user reference materials.
  • Support application updates, routine change validation, and testing.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements to support processes and user resources.
  • Protect sensitive information and comply with all cybersecurity, acceptable-use, and records-management requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Current DoD 8570/8140-compliant baseline certification appropriate for the position, such as CompTIA Security+.
  • Four or more years of experience in application support, IT help desk, data operations, or a related technical support role.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, including familiarity with SQL and experience running or validating data loads.
  • Experience using an enterprise ticketing or service-management system to document and track incidents and service requests.
  • Basic understanding of application administration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with government civilians, military personnel, contractors, and enterprise support organizations.
  • Ability to commute to and work on-site daily in the San Diego, CA area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience scripting for data loads using SQL, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Familiarity with .NET web applications.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces or other Department of War mission partners.

Target Salary Range: $85,000 - 120,000. 

Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
