Responsibilities

LMI is seeking a motivated Assistant Facility Security Officer (Assistant FSO) to support personnel, physical, and industrial security operations for a multi-site, TS/SCI enterprise IT program spanning multiple government facilities, including SCIF and SAP environments. Working under the direction of the Program FSO/Security Lead, this individual will help execute daily security activities, maintain compliance with federal security requirements, and ensure consistent security posture across dispersed program locations. 

Primary duties include: 

  • Support the Program FSO in maintaining compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and applicable DoD/IC security policies. 
  • Assist with personnel security operations, including clearance processing, reinvestigations, briefings, debriefings, and visit authorization requests. 
  • Coordinate physical security activities across facility locations, including access control, badge management, visitor escorting, and secure space monitoring. 
  • Support ICD 705compliant SCIF operations, including documentation updates, ongoing accreditation maintenance, facility inspections, and liaison activities with government security officials. 
  • Assist in managing DD Form 254 compliance, classification guidance distribution, and sponsorship coordination for SCI/SAP access. 
  • Maintain security logs, incident reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and required documentation for audits, inspections, and recurring compliance activities. 
  • Support delivery of security education, awareness, and training to program staff, reinforcing proper handling of classified material and secure environment protocols. 
  • Aid in cleared workforce onboarding/offboarding processes, including indoctrinations, access updates, and departure requirements. 
  • Gather site-level security observations and contribute to risk mitigation planning across multiple facilities. 
  • Coordinate closely with facility teams, program management, and government representatives to ensure consistent execution of security requirements. 
  • Provide on-site presence at various program locations as needed to support security walkthroughs, events, construction activities, and classified operations. 

Location: This position is based in the Denver CO area, with travel to other program locations. 

Travel: This position requires approximately 0-25% travel to support activities across multiple program locations. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience. 
  • 2–4 years of industrial or personnel security experience supporting federal or classified environments. 
  • Familiarity with NISPOM and general DoD/IC security requirements. 
  • Experience supporting SCIF or SAP operations, secure facility procedures, or classified programs. 
  • Working knowledge of clearance processing workflows and security documentation requirements. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate, compliant records across multiple locations. 
  • Ability to coordinate with government security officials and respond to timesensitive security tasks. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience supporting SCIF accreditation, inspections, or secure facility operations. 
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed security operations or multi-site programs. 

Clearance Requirements 

 

TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

 

Target salary range: $50,000 - $70,000
