Overview

LMI is seeking an Agile Coach / Trainer Level IV level to strengthen Agile delivery practices and Atlassian tool proficiency across Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) teams and a geographically distributed workforce. This role blends team assessment, practical coaching, interactive instruction, and sustainable adoption strategies to help organizations use Agile methods and Jira more effectively.

The Agile Coach / Trainer will assess current team practices, lead instructor-led and virtual workshops, and coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, delivery teams, and managers through changes in planning, backlog management, ceremonies, flow, and reporting. Working with instructional designers and analysts, the coach will tailor instruction and follow-up support to demonstrated readiness rather than assume a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

This is not a classroom-only position. Success requires observing actual team behavior, helping teams remove practical barriers, reinforcing skills after training, and building communities that can sustain improvement independently. The ideal candidate can balance common enterprise standards with respect for different team missions and operating contexts.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.
