The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) operates approximately 238 commissaries worldwide for the Department of Defense (DoD) from its headquarters at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. DeCA’s mission is to provide an efficient and effective worldwide system of commissaries for the resale of groceries and household supplies at the lowest practical price (consistent with quality) to members of the military services, their families, and otherwise authorized customers, while maintaining high standards for quality facilities, products, and services. A military commissary is a government facility providing grocery products and other merchandise to authorized individuals.  Commissaries are designed and operated similar to commercial supermarkets.  DeCA’s goals are to provide a significant price savings when compared to commercial markets; to provide courteous and informative assistance to its customers; to offer a variety of items in quantities and of a quality level to satisfy customer demands; and to provide products in a clean, safe, and wholesome environment. Candidate will review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs.
