Some travel within the United States will be required.  This individual will work with other engineers and subject matter experts to support the client’s program management office (PMO), which is responsible for developing programs of records (POR) and the acquisition and deployment of technologies and systems to protect the nation’s borders. From program planning and market research to trade studies, requirements definition, engineering analysis, decision support, and program execution assistance, these individuals will apply sound systems engineering principles and ensure that DHS and CBP directives, policies, and processes are followed, and the client’s objectives are met.

This is a rare opportunity to become a member of a strong, highly-valued team with low attrition, and set the conditions for DoD to effectively employ commercial support during military operations. Substantial telework is an option. The position requires occasional travel (1-2 times per year). Overview.  Commercial capabilities, represented by the private sector, are an immense source of support to military operations. OCS, as described in in Joint Publication 4-10—Operational Contract Support, is the government’s capability to plan for, procure, and manage commercial support during military operations. Vendor Threat Mitigation (VTM) is a nascent capability to ensure contractors and contractor personnel providing commercial capabilities are not tools of an adversary.
